hello folks.....so in an earlier thread i started, you'd realize that my father and i are quite close, we talk about almost everything/anything.. he traveled outside the country (he's semi-retired), enjoying the fruitage of his hard labor during his younger years.
so he recently returned home after he and mum went away to catchup with some old friends in another country.. upon his returning home, and subsequently to the meetings, he was told that a decision was made to strip him of his "field overseer" role, but will still continue to be an elder.. the reason...he goes away for too long too often...you can't be away from your congregation for three months out of the year!!!???
has anyone else had this experience before?
Sounds like your father is lacking in the True Christian Quality of "VISIBILTY."
In order to be and Elder, not only must you be a high-hour publisher, you must also make sure that people see you doing it -- otherwise you might not even bother. Doing stuff in a manner that everyone sees what you're doing is called "Visibility."
Ironically, the Leader of the Only True Relgion on Earth, Jesus Christ, has been INvisible for over a century now.

West of NYC, we woke up to. . . 4 or 5 inches of snow -- Pretty disappointing!
NYC got spared, with about 8 or 9 inches, but out east on LI they got around 20.

i have noticed something even long before even looking into ttatt, something about morris bothered me.
i am personally very attuned to body language, facial expressions and general subtleties in human interaction.

Well, from my experience I would say they have pretty slim pickings as far as attorneys.
In my decades of being a witness, I only met one witness attorney, and it was someone already working at bethel as an attorney.
i seem to remember that she was not ever dfd even though she was present at the fateful meal, but i don't remember where i saw that.
it seemed like they specifically targeted raymond, but cynthia was left alone.. i tried searching jwn, but the search feature seems to be not working.. also tried googling the answer, but to no avail..

THE DEPRESSED SOUL - I am quite certain that Ray Franz had not a single doubt regarding his decision or a "what-if-they-are-right" moment. But if you are still having those thoughts, I would recommend seeing a therapist or psychologist who specializes in persons who are abused or have PTSD. They won't be able to refute or disprove doctrine, but might be able to help you "rip out" some of the leftover "programming" that is contributing to your doubts regarding TTATT.
